Weight Loss/ Weight Control

Post by [old] Steelhead » February 2nd, 2006, 7:05 pm

What we need is a place where we can post pounds lost for each week and our rowing regimine. I don't think metres alone is the answer to weight loss -- at least not for me. Now I'm crossing training: weight lifting, cycling, climbing, and rowing. Less meters rowed, but more pounds lost.

The long meter approach and standings doesn't translate into pounds lost. I would like to know what people are doing and how much success they are having.

Mike
Mike,

I'll start a new topic in the Weight loss/Weight Control area called Weightloss Training Routines. Then whoever wants to can post what they do, how long they've been at it, what's worked not worked.

deppe4
Thanks.

Mike

Come JOIN our TEAM
RowPainRowGain
WE are a group with a wide range of ability and expertise from veteran rowers to people like me that got a new rower for Christmas. We all have one thing in common and that is to get in shape and either maintain or as many of us are hoping to lose weight also. We try to support each other whether we row 10,000 a day or 10,000 a week! It helps keep us motivated (hopefully) as erging for many of us is alone at home and not on a team on the water. We have teammates from all over the globe, too. Just enter us as your team affliation on your profile page. We'd love to have you join us on the virtual waterways.
Mary

This team has been great for me. I am now logging my weight weekly on the other site (still weigh loss/weight control) and counting calories-I had no idea I was eating so many carbs-which is not all bad, but they add up quickly. Good luck!!

Anyone on the team want to join me in attempting the March Madness challenge? I missed the first day, but hope to get at least 5000 done per day- I'd love to break one million before the season ends. For those who have already achieved 2 million, thanks for the inspiration.

Hi All,
Is it really March already???? March Madness sounds intriguing. I have three on-the-water races coming up this month, but think I can get in most days with at least a 5k. Don't think I will be pulling off the every day 5k.
Kappy, join us. Under your profile you would just need to add Row Pain, Row Gain. The more the merrier.
Okay, my cheap thrill of the day is that I finally realized that I can pick the color of my text. :D
~Grace
