The Cake!
the one good thing about not being able to eat gluten is that I have to adapt recipes such as this. Too much work. But it sounds so good, actually it will be nice for my 14 yr old son who eats EVERYTHING and does not gain an ounce!

But the good news is that the rib pain is almost nil, and I think I'll try a few strokes tomorrow. I'm going to go really slow and work back up to where I was. I have to remember to row my own race. I got hurt being too competitive.

As for challah, there is a bakery near me that is both 100% glutenfree and 100% kosher! www.sensitivebaker.com The challah is always round because the dough cannot be braided. As for matza, there is a field in England that grows kosher oats, which are then shipped to Israel and made into matza. It's frightfully expensive ($40/lb) but you do what you have to.

I have made a matza-like cracker from bean flour. I used a pasta recipe and baked it. It's not truely "matza" since it does not have any of the 5 grains, but if you are looking for a replacement, it works; http://allergygrocer.com/id412.html but the recipe should say 'greased' not 'engrossed' cookie sheet.
