Aaaah! Bakes!

A man after my own heart: Mealoaf and Verdi!!

which is why my wife goes: WTF!!! every time we're in the car and i pop in one of my "weird-o"music cd compliations. (To her anyone other than Celine and Barry are weird-o  ).

I tried out my new iPod Shuffle with my early Miles Davis play list (Workin' Steamin' Cookin' Birth of Cool , et. al.) and could barely hear it over the buzz of my Model B wheel vibrationing off the garage walls. But then again I need "4 ears" to hear a jet roar. Thus I usually don't listen to music while rowing, because my aids "short out' from the sweat.

But some really nice suggestions, especially the old thread. Guess I'll be paying iTunes a pretty penny to beef up my playlists. :)

Patty Griffin--The Rowing Song

Okay, its really only good for an easy warm up or cool down, cause it is slow and mellow. But the topic is right on.

iTunes Compilations

Post by igoeja » June 7th, 2008, 11:02 am

Since I regularly make iTunes playlists for my workouts, I thought it would be interesting to make playlists/compilations for iTunes.

I generally listen to Nine Inch Nails or similar. Otherwise, sometimes I'll go with electronica. Recently, I've been listening to Prototypes (a French pop group).

The Go Team! is really super and motivating. Its like your own private cheerleading squad rooting for you!

I tend to go for electronica, (Art od Noise and Thievery Corp are a few I like) but the latest Beastie Boys album is great...Its all instrumental and funky with good beats to get you going and staying on pace. I have also been going back and listening to bands like Fugazi, Minutemen and All...again, guitar driven and fast...keeps me going.

I recently rowed to a variety of Tom Waits songs...it was very strange and felt, well, wrong....
