Memory gone?

Post by southerngalgonemad » August 11th, 2008, 2:43 pm

First off, I looked and couldn't find my answer so I am sorry if this is a repost.
My memory has been full for over a year and I hadn't transfer in about that time too. I thought the internal memory will keep going. I have a 2006 model d. Well, I am finally trying to transfer and the last workout on my spreadsheet is from 2007. Which is not correct, I have been rowing since then. I plugged the usb into the machine and it updated, then I hit the transfer log data to backup file and it opened to my spreadsheet which the last workout recorded was 1/28/07. Is there something else I need to do or is my data for 1 1/2 years gone since I am a slacker on backing up memory?

You need a few things:

1. a LogCard (should have one shipped with your rower)
2. a USB lead (should have one shipped with your rower)
3. a laptop or PC (or MAC) - ideally internet connected.
4. a copy of the LogCard Utility from http://www.concept2.com/us/service/software/lcu/

Connect the PM3/PM4 to your computer. Run the LCU software and it will do everything you need. Downloads, backups and cleanups of your logcard. The LCU will also update your PM3/PM4 firmware to the latest version if you want.

The LCU can also automatically record your workouts on http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/log.asp

It's good to clean house now and then.

When mine gets close to full, I delete it all and start over.

Thanks, that worked downloading up till March of this year but I don't know where the rest of this year is.
Do you have to always use your log card if you want to save your workouts because I have not been since it was full. What about internal memory?

The internal memory is limited. It'll hold about twenty workouts (depends how many splits you set).

The logcard has 32K of memory. My card was 67% full with 300 workouts (I tend to set 500m splits for everything). That was about a year's worth. So it would go for about 18months for me. (Again it depends on how many splits you store for a workout - default is five.)

If you have a card, keep it in your machine. I take mine to the gym every time.

I back mine up to an *.LCB file before deleting it. The LogCard Utility can read *.LCB files and regenerate the spreadsheet from them. I have backups going back to when I first got my first logcard.

Oh, how do you delete the entire card? Instead of doing one at a time.

The LCU has an option to do that.
