Pat, I saw where you rowed 23,000m and to me that is pretty awesome. I didn't know we had monthly goals. I am still tinkering with all the options on the machine so some of my meters are low but I usually have several in a day. I got Xeno's dvd's and have been playing around with them. I think they helped me understand what I need to do. More power in the legs vs spm. So have played around with that today and plan to do some more later in the evening.

We don't as a team have set monthly goals..it is really an individual thing with us.Keeps us all motivated to some extent. There is no pressure to row any certain number of meters in this team. You set your own goals and row as it fits your schedule and lifestyle. No competition and no pressures at all.
Just someone please..give me a huge kick if you see that I have gone dark and left the team.I get disheartened sometimes and need an extra push!!!

Great rowing Susan!!

Pat,

I sympathize with what you are going through. I work 4 days a week as a Massage Therapist and 2 overnight shifts as a PCT in a hospital. If it want for rowing I think my wife would kill me. I am inspired not only by your words of motivation but also by the meters you log even with the schedule you keep. My goals have suffered a bit and my weight crept back up (a little) but I am back on track and trying to reach the goals I set out for before May 1st. For those of you who log those long meters each day do you split it between two workouts? Everyone keep your chins up and do what you can everyday. Just because you didnt row a long piece does not mean you didnt contribute. You are contributing to the team and your overall health. ROW HARD!

Ryan

By the way anyone notice we are in 21st place. Congrats to ALL!!

Hi Ryan,

Since I just got my machine I usually have more than one time a day that I use it. Yesterday I did a 5000m just to see how fast I was and then played around with some of the features that put another 2300m on it later in the day. I did make two different entries but the 2300 was a total of two.

I many times do my rowing in split up sessions to meet my needs of the day.I may do a sprint or do a short row then a longer one to do interval training. There was a time when I could row for long periods..but as I get older I find that rowing in shorter sessions and with a bit more gusto or in a fashion to really get the heart rate up is more effective for me.I even may row a session then jump on my treadmill or elliptical and take a session on that and alternate. It keeps the workouts fresh and I keep boredom at bay.I tend to suffer from burnout rather easy and there are days that I dread even going to my gym.But I know that it is essential for my health and over all sanity.
All meters are important and as long as we each row and enjoy the ride and gain something from it..that is what matters!!
Thanks for being on the team and for stopping by the forum!!
