Floating erg??

No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.

Hi Bob,

It looks like great fun. When I was a youngster I had a friend who had a (land) scooter which had you rocking back and forth to propel the scooter down the road. If I remember right it had an off-center rear wheel. It was hideously inefficient but a hoot to ride.

Seems more like a floating pogo stick than a floating erg.

I am not quite sure why the thing works. Any physicists out there who understands it?
