Dan: now you've caught that moon, what the heck are you going to do with it? (And where is that taken?) Good luck with the fire situation down your way.

Chris,

After catching it I thought about dragging it a little closer, so we wouldn't have so far to row. Not sure where the pic was taken, but looks suspiciously like the Alps in the background, may Germany.

Congrats on your new acquisition. Looks you and AJ have become rowin' fools. WTG.

Fires OK in Daytona, not so in Melborne and Palm Bay. They are in deep dodo. Similar to 1998 here.

Dan

Lisa and Tim: I feel your pain. Nothing worse than wanting spring to come so bad and then getting dumped on by yet another snowstorm... Almost had snow where I live yesterday, but it stayed about 100 miles north of me. Hoping tomorrow is a clear day so I can check tomorrow's satellite view to see if the ice is off the lakes where I want to head to.

Kristine: Webshots count each picture looked at as a view. Since I have 29 photos in my paddle making series, that could be as low as just 100 interested lurkers doing all the viewing. And I think because Webshots labels new albums as "new", that pulls the late night surfing crowd and tallies more views from an entirely separate venue . So hopefully the luna-tic home room is a theatrical show to jsut a small number of lurkers.

Dan - Really nice catch! What kind of cheese is it?

Chris - No duel; no drama at all? I guess the main thing is - it worked out. Now you and AJ can work out.

Jan - May the cows come back for many years. I suspect you witness a lot of beautiful prairie sunrises with that view.

Wensleydale. An excellent cheese choice ... from Yorkshire, methinks.

I just came across this tee-shirt, for sale by the company in charge of my Grand Canyon rafting trip in August. It says:

Row, row, row
your boat gently down
a raging bone crushing
life threatening
class V stream,
merrily merrily merrily merrily
life is but a dream

(Available in mango and aqua. Nice. )

and we are narrowly holding on to 8th place!

Dan - love the T-shirt idea!

The erudite version is:

Propel, Propel, Propel your craft
Placidly down the solution
Ecstatically, Ecstatically, Ecstatically,
Existence is but an illusion.

Well, today's the day. Must get to work so I can row later.

Someone asked me yesterday if we'd made it to the moon yet. I had to admit that I have no idea what our location is at this time ... are we nearly there ... have we circled and raced on toward Mars ... are we heading home ... are we lost in space ... did we start over on May 1? (Should I be having this conversation with myself!?)

Dan, that tee shirt site is:

Congratulations Gina!

Thanks for pulling me along!
I did not post yesterday, so tomorrow
I'll show more meters than usually ;).
I am just trying to keep a steady pace and you and
all the others really help, when I'm about to fall of the boat
(though some cool water would really help during this heat wave ;)).

Happy rowing!

Andrea
