Welcome back for the 2009 rowing season - Orion and Helen! Here's a little FYI for the team:
Many of us may know of the constellation Orion (the Hunter) from all our moon and stargazing times. I know I thought "how appropriate" when Orion joined our team on the lunar mission. Orion, your name is even more appropriate than I first thought: The NASA website indicates that Orion is the name of a new lunar crew exploration vehicle:
America will send a new generation of explorers to the moon aboard NASA’s Orion crew exploration vehicle. Making its first flights early in the next decade,
Orion is part of the Constellation Program to send human explorers back to the moon, and then onward to Mars and other destinations in the solar system. Hey, we might have a future astronaut on our team!
