hello every one. I've been visiting the forum for about a month and have learned a bunch from all of the experience here.

I have been rowing for about 6 weeks a minimum of 4 days per week -usually 5 days for 30 minutes. i usually am in the 6100-6450 meter range per work out at 26 - 29 strokes per minute.

Yesterday I read about the Tabata Protocol.
So today, I decided to give it a try with a twist of my own.

I did a little over 4000 meters in the first 20 minutes and then set the monitor for interval training.

I completed the 8 intervals and was gasping pretty hard at the end.

My question for all of you experienced folks on here, is this a reasonable way to work out?

it seems like the 8 intervals of 20 seconds could not possibly be enough for a complete work out.

I am 52 years old and in pretty decent shape.

thanks for all of the help. I believe I am hooked on this rowing thing :)
