How many meters a week do you do?

I started at about 15k a week now I am up to 30k+ a week plus 5 mile of walking a day.
I wonder if that is enough as I see some people posting like a 100k a week
Where are they getting the time between work, kids and pets I am pushing to get the 30k.

Chris, I am trying to exceed 30,000 m per week. With 30K a week PLUS 5 miles walking a day, you are doing great!
Exercise is cumulative as far as fat metabolism is concerned. So your 30K m are added to your 35 miles of walking to give you an excellent base. Once you add your kettlebell routine, you will just be building the size of your engine and idling at a higher frequency burning even more calories at rest as well.....so good on you!

I’m trying to do 10,000+ five days a week. In January I rowed 200,482 meters over 20 days. I averaged a loss of 2.5 lbs each week.
/sidenote: I also lift 4 days a week
impressive

I'm just starting. At first, I thought that I was going to row 3 times a week with a rest day in-between. But today I decided to give it a try back-to-back since I'm going to have a rest day tomorrow anyway. I'm thinking that I can do 1/2 hours six day a week. That's over 30K since I did 5400 in 30 min today. So if all goes well, I'll be doing 30K+ starting next week. I'm jumping in with both feet.

I have just started to up the meters in a serious asault on the weight loss front.Doing about 60000+ meters a week.Managed 6:31 for the 2k recently and believe that the only way to get faster is through weight loss.
(the less weight you push up and down the slide the faster you will go)

For this 2008/2009 season I am averaging just under 67,000 meters per week.

For me, weight loss is tied to the time spent on the erg. The first 45 minutes are building muscle, then any time after that is fat burning. I erg every other day, presently at 45-50 minutes. On those days I skip real food until dinner, which is a big salad. I keep my energy up with juice, glucose tablets and hard candy. Sounds like bad nutrition, but if I eat 2 meals a day (healthy stuff) I don't lose weight. Darn my efficient metabolism. Oh yeah, I have a beer at night.
I don't watch the meters; I payy attention to how my body feels and get into my music, and I know about how long my music selection is. It comes out to about 8350 meters for 45 minutes right now.
When I get my body in better shape I will kick it up to 50-60 minutes every other day. Which will equal your half hour sessions, except I need the longer sessions to lose weight. I can't do them every day though.
Re taking the time: its hard to fit it in if you have other priorities. I tell everyone I am having my quality time from 11a-12:30p. Period. Its my just for me time.

on an average week I'd say 50-60k - I have had weeks during some of the challenges where i've done 250k - my highest week ever i think was around 330k and I'll never do that again, lol

Neil,
I am working for 6k mininum per row so that if I row 6 days a week I will average 36- 40k. My weight loss seems to be increasing directly related to my meter count increasing. If I can get up the energy to throw in a couple of nites rowing that should get me there.
Rowed a new Pb for 6k of 24:44.7 today was only the second time I rowed a 6k piece and I cut about 45 sec. of my last piece. average a 2:03.5 split time
I have noticed by the ranking board not a lot of people row 6k pieces maybe they just don't know it is a ranked piece. I did not figure it out until last week.

Nice going Chris. I have updated my plans to include 30 minute rows three days a week and I am trying to get in two 10K's carpool issues depending. I was pleased to pull 2:14's for almost 7K tonight.
Last week I managed 25K and this week I should manage 30K plus.
