I did not start to row to lose weight, but thought it could be a nice side effect. After three months I seem to have lost 3.5KG, sort of accidentally.
3500 grams of bodyfat is the equivalent of about 31500 calories. It took me 520.000 meters of rowing at a pace of around 13kmh, so that's 40 hours of rowing. So i'm actually burning close to 800 calories per hour of rowing, and the result is fat loss (90 grams of bodyfat per hour)!
