Getting accountable!

Post by graycyn » April 7th, 2020, 1:13 am

So, been at the weight loss thing for a few years. 25 pounds gone last year. I need to lose more though! It might help my back, it could help my knees and my problem right foot. So I thought I'd try to keep accountable here if no one minds.

The news says old Covid-19 likes it's victims obese, so that's another good reason to take some pounds off! Aside from that, been overweight most of my life, would like to get back to something more normal if I can. I don't think I'll ever be a lightweight rower, but it'd be nice to not have a belly in the way!

I got my rower not knowing I'd shortly thereafter be diagnosed with multiple pinched nerves, a bulging disk, disk degeneration and spinal stenosis, but I'm rowing as I'm able and trying to control the eating. Never easy, because I like to eat!

Today's weight: 197.2 pounds

Today's activity: 12 minutes of rowing, some walking, some balance and some squats.

Good luck with it Cynthia. Losing weight can only benefit you physically and mentally.

I just thought being publicly accountable on a weekly or more likely, monthly basis might help keep me on track. And it did seem like this part of the forum was the place for things to do with weight loss efforts, much like the training section handles training efforts and accountability. But if not, that's OK.
I'm new, maybe there are rules I don't know.

I've been doing well enough so far being accountable only to myself, it's just that it's getting tougher sticking to my calorie budget. And if it's tough now, it's not likely to get easier as that budget shrinks.

I like that! Flattening the curves is what I need!

Seems like a slow process either way, whether it's fat curves or the virus curve....

Well, my apologies to everyone!

I will not post further in this thread beyond this reply. I toughed out 62 pounds of weight loss and maintenance being accountable to myself and I guess I can continue.

It appears I cannot delete this thread, is it possible for you or someone else to do so? If so, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
