okay I row on the water with my club 6 times a week for 2 hours each, wednesdays and sundays are my only days off. I eat mainly whole breads, lots of subway, lots of water, vitamin supplements, lots of five alive. Im around 6 feet and i range between 197-210. I dont like to use wieght as an indictator due to my muscle mass. recently ive been reducing how much i eat, I eat 1 slice of toast in the morning, a footlong club from subway or somthing equivalent from home, and then a small plate full of what ever is served up for dinner, normally corn or potatoes with some type of meat. I seem to have reduced my stomach size but i still have like an inch on my stomach.
Help me please......its really hard for me to do this, I think i might have an overeating problem cause im always thinking about food.. I find it frustrating that i know people who dont do any sports but are lean and fit, and eat just as much as i do.
I cant seem to shed weight as fast as I should
get a physical, and while you're there talk to your doctor about your diet.
find out about getting your body fat tested using a reliable method.
right off the top: whole breads at subway? doubtful. skip the 5-alive (8oz=456calories,
mostly from corn syrup). not many veggies in your routine unless you count the filler
in the sandwich. once you start eating a balanced diet you can drop the supplements.
a few months ago i needed to drop some weight. i found cutting down the portion size of
my dinners really helped. also having raw veggies at work to snack helped as well.
good luck - al.

To lose weight and be more lean means making healthier choices with your diet.gsedun wrote:a footlong club from subway or somthing equivalent from home, and then a small plate full of what ever is served up for dinner

Eat plenty of fresh and frozen veggies, with spices but no condiments and no salt. Eliminate any excess fat from your diet. Drink plenty of water.
Eat more for breakfast, otherwise you won't be getting enough energy, will be hungry and will overeat the rest of the day. Breakfast is the most important meal. Dinner is the least important. It is more important that you don't eat that much for dinner. There is no point to eating a big dinner and then sleeping! Eat to be healthy. Don't eat because someone else wants you to stuff yourself.
If you eat animal protein then do so in low quantities and choose the low fat versions, for example halibut or chicken thighs, along with plenty of veggies.

i did it....
ok so i figured it out and i lost 15 pounds in a month or so. mostly by reducing what i eat, and when i eat. I now no longer eat unless I am certain i am hungry..at one point i was losing a pound a day but i think that was also water loss. so now its more gradual but ive gone from 210 to 195 since april 7
