Next stage of weight loss
Next stage of weight loss
It’s now been a year since I started exercising and built it up over the months. Rowing is my preferred cardio, but I have now starting a split programme each day with cardio in the morning and resistance training in the afternoon.
I use my concept 2 at home in the morning and go to a gym in the afternoon and I’m doing a 5 day a week schedule. As I’m semi-retired, I’m not on the go all day, especially in winter, so it isn’t exhausting me so far. If it does, I will cut back. So far, I am quite pleased with it. Strength is improving and my shape is changing even more and I’m adding muscle mass. Total exercise time per Time exercising per week currently is approx 12 hours.
FYI I am 57 this year, my weight has come down over the past 2 years by over 30kg’s, my resting HR has dropped from 79 bpm to 59bpm. I am the lowest weight I have been since my 20’s and I think fitter now, as I never did cardio then - only weights.

Fantastic. Keep up the training, and hopefully you have a set of new eating habits ingrained and aren't just training off chips lol!!

Re: Next stage of weight loss
It would be quite difficult to lose 30kg’s without dietary change.
Re: Next stage of weight loss
I am 54 and like you never as fit as now. And still gaining muscle mass.
