New rower from Mexico... any mexicans or latin around here?

I just got my new Concept2 Model D today. It's beautiful. I live in Mexico City and I really need to lose about 50 pounds and get fit. My condition is terrible. I'm very motivated. I would like to know if there are some other mexican people or latin american fellow rowers around here. Of course I'd like to make friends from all over the world, but I'm really curious if there are people geographically close to me who share the interest in this sport.

I'm Mexican, though I live in the US.

I am sure there are rowing/erging communities in Mexico. If you have facebook I recommend following Remo en Mexico, it's a facebook page used by the national team and they post a lot about upcoming regattas and erg competitions.
