Umm...don't you mean 70 years young? Taking the decision to change your life is the biggest step and you've done that, so now its just a matter of establishing a routine.

That is over 85,000 meters a day every day which just baffles me. If Darlene can pull two marathons a day for 31 days in a row, I'm sure you'll be fine with any amount of time.
Erging is much easier on the legs and joints and like anything, just don't over-do it in the beginning. Be smart about your approach and stick to a plan that is both diet and exercise based.
