Post by Bruce-YVR » March 31st, 2009, 12:49 pm

Hi... my cousin is a college wrestler and she told me about the sauna suit. So I bought one and rowed with it yesterday for about 20 mins at 24spm. Boy my long sleeve underarmour was SOAKED!!!!!!

Is it good to row with the sauna suit? any comments?

I would avoid it like the plague. Dehydration can be very dangerous. I know only too well first hand.

It’s an extreme short term solution used by athletes attempting to cut water weight to reach a certain weight class. If you’re looking to lose weight (fat) for the long term I would advise against it.

Agreed. Not useful for rowing unless you are trying to make a weight class in the short term.
