Hi... I would like to get my son 9 yrs old to start rowing for weight control/ loss purpose. Yep... he needs some exercise
With C2, he and I can work out together
I need some advice on how to get him started? a good program for kids his age... outline the amount of km or time per day and/ or per week.

Bruce, as a sports PT who works with kids, I say encourage him to have fun and to work as hard as he can while he does! Make sure he learns the right form though. Don't put any parameters on him, but let him try to increase a bit from where he starts. Don't push him though, lethim discover it for himself.Bruce-YVR wrote:Hi... Thanks for your reply... I got him to start 10 mins only and watched him row to get the form correct ( as much as I know )... asked him to watched the monitor and mow spm and just to get a basic feel...
He did well. I also added him on the log card and he can follow his own progress on the computer ( he loves computers and video games )
lets see how this goes...

I have no information to support that assertion. As far as I know the research support viperous athletic activity for children of all ages. As long as they are having fun, I say go for it.
