anyone use "iRow" from iTrain?

hi - just curious to know if anyone has downloaded any MP3s from the "iRow" service offered by iTrain as profiled in the summer Concept 2 mailer? i've had a Model D rower for 30 months now, i love it (it helped me lose about 25# in 6 months!) and i listen to my iPod when i row. i am always curious about my form and although i feel good when i'm rowing indoors, i would love to get on the water one day...

i am interested in the service, and am by no means a cheapskate, but $13 for 60 minutes of an MP3 with no reviews available seems like a little gamble, especially when my time is limited (i'm at home with my 3 little kids). so i'd like to know if the MP3s are good and worth the time/investment? hope i didn't post this query on the wrong forum.

:D

Congratulations losing 25#. :)

I don't usually listen to music, but there is plenty of free music on the web.

There is no reason to pay for it.

hi everyone - i had to go for the plunge and try out iRow by iTrain (i don't work for iTrain and have no affiliation) that was promoted in the C2 magazine and i have to tell you: it kicked my butt.

iTrain has three sets of rowing MP3s and i just tried #17 (the chronology is weird) which is an endurance build program. it starts with a 7 minute pace piece, followed by interval power pyramids up to 6 row/6 rest (including build strokes) and a couple power 10s. then you have an active rest for about 2 minutes and do it all over again with the pyramid builds and the power 10s. throughout, you are being reminded of your form, pushing through the heels, keeping elbows close, wrists soft and straight, shoulders down and abs pulled in. i didn't know what to expect and i suppose that was for the best because i had to stay in the moment. after the rowing segment, nick puts you through a brief (8-12 minute) strength workout -- the two together are considered one "credit" or workout MP3 even though they are two separate tracks.

i'm trying to stay motivated (home with 3 kids in the summer is draining and disorganizing!) and this workout was excellent.

nick navarez is the "coach" and he's very motivating with a deep throaty voice and he throws some growl in there when he wants you to work harder. i love being on my rower and sometimes it's nice to just "be" and go for distance, but when you want to work or if you're feeling blah or short on time/focus, this is great.

well, i just thought i'd let everyone know. the service gives you a month free (3 workouts w/ differing focuses/sports if you like) if you sign up. not bad for $15 a month.

'night!
