Computer specs for Rowpro 4.2

Post by rehernden » October 23rd, 2014, 9:03 pm

Looking for a computer that will run RP 4.2. Does anyone have a computer with similar specs (see below) to what I am considering buying. This is an ACER AZ3 all-in one. Emailed Rowpro and they say it should work but would have to try it to really find out. Would like to know in advance if it would run high quality graphics or not, or maybe would need to spend more for a gaming type desktop. I realize the 1.5Ghz is not the 2.0Ghz RP lists as required but not sure how that effects the overall picture quality. Thanks in advance for any input or advice.

The Video card does all the work and that one will not make the grade.

You only need like a single core Pentium 4 CPU with 1Gb RAM so anything from like 2005-2006 will do the job but its VERY graphics hungry if you want good frame rates in the 50-60 fps or Hz.

Running a HD6670 as a minimum which has a score of 1047 vs 346 for yours. If you want Live water then you need a decent card. You don't need anything like a gaming PC in any resepect, that PC is overkill just budget for a new video card.

Thank you for that info. That Acer pc has an integrated graphics card so will look for an older desktop pc that can be upgraded with a better graphics card if needed.
