RowPro 2.003 released - FYI

Post by bgood » July 19th, 2006, 12:31 pm

Changes in Release 2.003
RowPro now works with the Concept2 PM4 Performance Monitor.
RowPro can now be installed on Windows XP 64 and 2003 Server + SP1.
Several minor issues are resolved.

Row-Pro question?

Post by TabbRows » August 4th, 2006, 1:44 pm

I have a Model B (rhymes with ModelT) with a PM2 monitor (well over 3 million meters under the hood-over 2 by previous owner, nearly 1 by me plus god knows how many before that by Olympic rowers using them in training for the Atlanta Olympics). My healthclub has a Model D with a PM3. Looks like it has the slot for a memory card.

Is there any way shape or form that I can make use of RowPro? Logging in times, or uploading data from a C2 memory card?

You need a PM2+ with a serial cable to connect to a PC and use RowPro.

You can purchase a Logcard for C2 for use with the PM3 to store rowing sessions. With a PM3 and a USB cable you can upload from the Logcard to the C2 Logbook. You will also need the C2 Logbook program which is a free part of the RowPro package from DigitalRowing

C2 also has a LogCard Utility that allows transfer from the LogCard with a card reader to your PC. http://www.concept2.com/05/rower/servic ... tility.asp

The Model B isn't broken in until it has at least 15 million meters on it.
You can do a lot of upgrades on it (PM3, chain, handle, seat, slides...), it will last you a long time. Had mine since 1988.

You can also buy a LogCard and an Omnikey SmartCard reader. Use the LogCard with the PM3 at the gym. Bring it home and use it in the SmartCard reader with RowPro's Logbook to upload files to the training log. Cheaper than owning a PM3, at least.

$6.50 LogCard and $40 card reader
