ErgData, Apple Fitness and Duplicate entries

I am getting Duplicates for my 6000 meter rows but not my 500 meter warmup rows. I don't know now to resolve this.

I am using ErgData, Apple Health.app, and Apple Fitness.app

In addition I notice that in Health.app there are two Activities related to Rowing: "Rowing Speed" and "Rowing Distance". Oddly I see no data from any of my rowing workouts in those two Activities, the data is being added to "Walking+Running Distance" instead. I also see the rowing data in "Activity", "Active Energy", and "Workouts"

I think I know why. In Health > User Icon > Privacy > Apps > ErgData I see the following screen and there is no option for Rowing only "Walking + Running Distance"

First image is Apple Health.app Settings. Second Image is ErgData.app Connection to Apple Health.app. Third image shows the duplicate for the 6000 meter row but not the two short rows I did for explaining this behavior.

Last update of ErgData on iOS (v2.4.2 yesterday) seems to fix the duplicate entries.

Thanks. Yes I saw the update just before going out in a snowstorm to pick up my daughter.

I still wonder what I am doing incorrectly OR maybe it’s an ErgData issue that it’s not logging Rowing instead of Walking+Running?

Am I missing something here?
Spoke with the EgrData team about the rowing distance being added to walking+running instead of Rowing distance and they said this is as intended.

Seems a bit janky for people who want to track their running miles.

I checked the other rowing app Asensei and it does exactly the same thing. What’s the story?

Kind of weird yes. But you can deactivate this in Health preferences (or ErgData preferences).

They write:
Greetings,

Thanks for your email. We can confirm that the latest version of Ergdata does save workouts successfully as a row workout despite what it is saying in data information in the health settings. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a nice day!

I don't want to deactivate tracking the meters. It's great to have all of it in one place in the health.app, but frustrating that they chose "walking+running distance" as the folder they want to keep it in when other apps keep my actual running and walking mileage in the same category.

Seems Concept2 just needs to code it properly and don't want to. They should care more - they are a premium product.
