Ergdata saves wrong training data to Log

Post by elwoody » April 14th, 2023, 5:53 am

Yesterday ErgData really messed up my Logbook-Entry from a training session. Has anyone else made such an observation?

As you can see, split 2 and 4 are way off.
Also Splits 1, 3, 5 and 7 are exactly the same.

ErgData uploaded this to the C2 logbook. As you can see the Splits data (and the overall result which is calculated from that) does not reflect the real Data that was recorded in the Workout Graph.

This was on an Erg in the Gym, so i am currently not able to verify if this data was also stored in the PM5 memory.

At the moment i just like to know, if others had made similar observations. I do not need developer assistance.

Leave it until Monday then send your email - it's a bug in Ergdata.

I've seen something similar several times on the older ergdata version. I don't use the new one.

If its the same problem then the fail will be in the data movement from the PM5 to ergdata. If you look at your PM5 the splits will be good. If you look at ergdata or your log the split are garbage. If you download the per stroke data from the log into a spreadsheet you can see the garbage data (or truncated data). If you look the graph of each split sometime you can see the graph loop back on itself as bad data makes time go backwards.

I would encourage you to send the email so C2 knows you had this type of problem. If you don't want follow-up just tell them not to contact you, you are just sending in information to be helpful.

in the meanwhile i had access to the PM5 with the stored data. You're right, the data in the PM5 is fine.
I did also a new rowing session on that particular device and i had the same errors in the Log again. So it looks as if there is something going wrong with this specific device - when connecting to other PM5s i do not have any problems.
So now it would be the right time to email C2. ;) (But unfortunately i could not do any further testing if they ask for because i do not longer have access to that Rowerg).

Happened to me too. Trying to upload a photo, but I can't figure out how to attach the photo. When I try as an attachment it tells me "The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 128 KiB." but my jpeg is only 86 KB.
