Rower Not Syncing to ErgData

I completed my first workout on new Concept2 rower. Data transferred to ErgData with no problems. I did 2 different workouts today and nothing transferred to the logbook in ErgData. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, to finish and save the row to your logbook, press the three dots upper left and select one of the options "save and..."

Yesterday I completed a workout on the rower with the ErgData connected. After I finished I pushed the Menu button on the rower. That was my mistake. The app stuck in workout mode, waiting for me to push the save/new/resume buttons, but neither of those did anything. After a few minutes I gave up and force quit the app. Then the workout completely disappeared from the ErgData app. Is this normal behaviour? Should I always finish the workout with the app buttons?
I usually watch Youtube videos while rowing and the ErgData app is in the background. Saving the workout is always a pain (can't save, retry, retry, retry, nothing), but somehow it always ended up in the logbook. But yesterday it just vanished completely. I'm on the newest firmware, newest app version (Android, Samsung S21).
Does the app suck for everyone else or am I doing something wrong?
