I just bought a notebook and RowPro and was wondering if others had a preferred location for the monitor. I currently have it located on a small box just beyond my left foot.

I think it is probably better to have it closer to eye level and as little to the side as possible. I watch the RP display continuously, and I didn't want to always be looking down and to the side. I have a TV next to the monitor, right on the other side of the PM3 (so looking ahead, I have the monitor, the PM3, and the TV, essentially all in a line).

I built a shelf right on to the arm of my PM2. So when I row I fit in my laptop right in front of me. If interested send me a email I will send you detalled picture.

My laptop goes on a rack in front of my erg at about eye height. It's next to a mirror that helps me watch my technique.

I have my laptop on a *** DELETE - SPAM *** chair as close the the erg as possible. It would be better if it were higher.

I use RP on a laptop too. I keep the laptop on a small box next to me to make it easy to type. i bought a cheapo monitor and put it on a shelf just above the PM3. I connect to my laptop through the auxilary screen port and then set it to show RP on both screens. I can easily type, start etc, and I can watch the 2nd monitor while I row. This setup works well for me.

Sorry for the delay I am very busy those days. But there is some pictures for the installation for my laptop sitting right onto my C2 arm. If more detailed picture are required just let me know. I will see if I can get better one.

I am interested in how the laptop stays in position, how does the bracket support the laptop, is it screwed to the monitor bracket or just resting on top.

Yes it is the same shelh marilyn. That picture reminds me some good souvenir .
Steve I use light Aluminum to build the shelf to he size of the laptop (just a notch bigger, then I use a gasket (foam) aound the edge of the lip of the shelf to sit the laptop firmly and prevent vibration.

The shelf can be bolted directly to the arm or in my case I use (build a angle out of aluminum again to compensate for the negative angle of the C2 arm) so the laptop sit level. I drill 3 small holes and attached with 3 nuts and bolts (the holes only go to the first layer of the arm you will have to use long nose plyer to hold the nut and secured the shelf. I will try to get closer pictures next time to show the attachement.
