Ergdata showing peak force in Lb. Why?

Why does ergdata, since a recent upgrade, report peak and average force in Lb? An ancient outdated way of measuring force only used by a small fraction of the world’s population! And no option to change and all other metrics use the metric system
Please bring ergdata to the same level of engineering as the concept rower and use the globally accepted norm for displaying metrics, such as newton for force.

Appears to have been a temp bug.
Today I was able to change setting for weight to kg.
Still don’t understand why force is reported in kg or lb though.

Probably C2 likes to relate the effort to weightlifting disciplines.
Your scale also reports in kg !

such as newton for force.
Forces in N would require an extra digit, without providing any useful information. Even two digits are hard enough to see on small screens for a myopic oldie through fogged glasses, not to mention blood sweat and tears, from a varying distance. Of course this only happens if working very hard, in which case a solution soon suggests itself.

Concept2 are American. The Americans haven't yet adopted the metric measurement system (along with Liberia and Burma).

Assuming you are below 9999 N there is no difference in number of positions to be displayed as Lb requires an extra position compared to N.
So don’t believe that is the reason nor a valid argument

That is because a scale indicates mass, not force. I think it should say Newton. When you look at the force curve, the vertical scale also says Newton, so somebody inside Concept2 thinks force should be reported as Newtons too...
