Is there a way for me to edit my setting online so that only my moving time is recorded for a workout session? Currently my average splits are off for each workout since it is calculating my time off the erg in between rowing blocks.
For example I will row a 47 minute total workout that includes:
15 minute row block
5 minutes of the erg weight lift
12 minute row block
5 minutes off the erg weight lift
10 minute row block
Currently the workouts look to be factoring in the time when I am off the erg into my average split for the total 47 minutes.

Re: Calculate moving time only
It's not possible.
If you have a design change requirement write to info@concept2.com to ask them to implement it (if possible).

Can you not simply programme a variable interval workout? Rest periods aren't counted in the overall average split.

+1
Variable intervals should work if you are keeping to the rest time. IF you do the same workout often the re-row option means you only have to program the variable intervals once.
If the rest time varies based on how long you lift then setting up 3 separate workouts seems to give you the most data.
If you do want to continue using a single continuous workout (and your PM5 does not timeout) then the way to get rid of the rest periods is
1. get the workout into your log as a 47 minute total workout
2. download the CSV version of the workout from the details page, it will have per stroke data.
3. use a spreadsheet (free openoffice / libreoffice, or $$ Microsoft Excel) to import the CSV data
4. once in a spreadsheet it's easy to aggregate any of the data you want, graph it, etc. Example, if you care about watts/stroke or meters/stroke then computing that for every stroke and displaying the graph takes 3 to 4 clicks.
After you done this two or three times you can get from a C2 log entry to looking at the results in less than a minute (maybe 10 clicks).
Final note, if you just want the splits then the graph you already have in your C2 logbook workout details page will let you eyeball your split time during the work sessions pretty easily without doing anything. It will show working split per stroke then one bit of deadtime for the rest period then resume the per stroke splits for the next piece of work. This approach also allows you to see the trend in split times - something a full piece average does not give you.
EDIT: forgot about variable rest time. That makes variable intervals even a better choice. https://www.concept2.com/service/monito ... fined-rest

I don't think this is true. As noted above, you can just set up a variable interval workout if you know exactly how long you want to do non-rowing activities in between rowing blocks.
Or, even better, another super handy trick is that you can program your rest periods as undefined in length (up to 10 mins). That way if you need an extra 10 seconds, or you trip on your way back to the erg, or your final lifting set takes longer than you hoped, you don't mess up all your rowing intervals. This page provides examples of Crossfit combo rowing/lifting workouts that are basically what you are looking for, I think:

Yes, Just Row. If there's no queue for the machine you can just start again. Get on and pull, no buttons to press but maximum data. If the stop is too long, the PM restarts and you get separate info for all your pieces aboard, which will be more useful than an overall average, given what you do in the meantime. Is there a way for me to edit my setting online so that only my moving time is recorded for a workout session?
The main limitation of Just Row is the long split, 5 minutes. To get round this you could set a single long time with say one minute splits. This won't stop and with short splits you get all data. If you need an overall average, subtract the number of splits with zero strokes. You can also see in log what happened every minute and you can adjust the times even during the wo, with no need to reprogram. After one long piece at the split you need, it'll be available as re-row.
