ErgData Doesn't Collect Detail in Background

Here's my experience using the ErgData and Polar Flow apps together (Android).
If I start the ErgData app and "connect" to the PM5 in the usual way (the HRM is connected to the PM5 via ANT) and the home screen displays " waiting to start" and then switch to the Polar Flow app everything seems to be working fine (HR is displayed in PM5). But when I finish the session and switch focus back to the ErgData app AND IF wait for the connect screen to be displayed AND IF I press "connect" AND I wait for the app to return to the home screen (where after a brief delay the default garbage data is replaced with the session totals (distance and total time) AND IF I wait for the session done YES/NO dialog to appear AND IF I select "YES" I then find that ErgData has saved the session totals but none of the detail (i.e. no split times no stroke rate no pace, no HR).

By contrast, if I leave the ErgData app in the foreground and let the Polar Flow app run in the background, both apps are happy and record all the data. I therefore conclude that if the Polar Flow app can collect all the data while running in background then there is no technical reason that the ErgData app ought not be able to do the same.

Am I wrong?

Same here: ErgData (or ErgZone) in background = fail.
