Can't transfer workout to Logbook
Can't transfer workout to Logbook
So I can't transfer a workout to Logbook.
I have just completed an interval workout and ErgData has failed to record it correctly so it wont open either in app or the synced workout that was sent to the logbook.
Having checked the memory on the PM5 the workout is there and correct so I thought I'd transfer it to my USB drive and use the Concept2Utility to transfer it.
It's all gone wrong from here.
The workout shows up in the C2 Utility but I can't sync it as it says the workout is already present online. So I deleted the online workout (mistake it seems!) and also deleted it from the ErgData app.
My totals have all adjusted to reflect this.
Restarted the C2 Utility to try again and it still states no workouts are available to upload even though its listed (its greyed out which apparently means its already in the online logbook, but I've deleted it)
Next I figured I'd try using a usb connection to the PM5. Thats a no go as it seems once I transferred the workout to the USB drive it deleted from the PM5's memory.
So now I'm all out of ideas. Anyone got any idea how I can save the workout data?
The data is definitely on the USB drive as I can create a csv of it and view all the splits etc. in Excel.

Re: Can't transfer workout to Logbook
First I'd suggest ask C2 directly for help (send them an email) as if recovery is possible they will know how. If all else fails, you can manually enter the total meters and time in the log and record as much detail as you can be bothered to type in the comments. Is obviously a shame to miss the detail, but it is just one workout and you wont have lost the meters from your running total. Best of luck with it.

Re: Can't transfer workout to Logbook
Not sure what your doing but I have been using ErgData and RowPro at the same time for years with never a situation I cannot get a result to the C2 LogBook.
I would start by making sure your PM5 is on the latest firmware version and make sure you have the latest version of ErgData as well.
Factory default reset the PM5 which wipes the memory and date/time and starts again.
Just forget that missing row and move on.

I have done this for now so totals at least are correct. If all else fails, you can manually enter the total meters and time in the log and record as much detail as you can be bothered to type in the comments. I will email C2 in the week and see if they can recover it or give me a workaround for the C2Utility failing to upload also.
Not done anything different to the 20+ other workouts prior to this happening. I suspect I may have briefly lost connection and its corrupted on the App but not the machine. Not sure what your doing...
Unfortunately I've now lost it on the machine after transferring to the USB.
I guess like @MPx suggests ill have to ask Concept2 why it wont send across from the C2Utility.
Everything is on the latest possible versions (PM5/ErgData/iOS).I would start by making sure your PM5 is on the latest firmware version and make sure you have the latest version of ErgData as well.
Partners workout uploaded fine with exactly the same setup straight after me so suspect it was most likely a dropped connection or corrupt upload.
Its obviously not the end of the world, I'm more interested in figuring out why the C2Utility has all the data but refuses to send it.
Re: Can't transfer workout to Logbook
Both my partner and myself have just finished 30:00 sessions. Both uploaded perfectly fine.
Hopefully whatever it was, it won't happen again.

I never row intervals as such.
The only thing close is like a 30 minute and you just have 1 minute on and 4 minutes off. All going well you can do your 2000m PB time in those 6 intervals.
Result just uploads as a 30 minute and if you set the splits for the row to 1 minute the results look pretty cool.

Re: Can't transfer workout to Logbook
FWIW there was a bug in the prior versions of ergdata/pm5 software that caused intermittent data corruption on transfer from the PM5 to Ergdata over bluetooth. AFAIK it only showed up on just row sessions and was fixed with the latest versions of PM5 and ergdata. For my PM5 the fix was in firmware Version 208 (released March 2021—for hardware version 900 and higher). You might double check you have the latest.

same issue.
I've done exactly the same things and ended in the same situation.
I've written an email to the c2 support and I'm waiting for their reply.
I've the latest firmware and app

Sorry. Missed this reply due to not touched the rower due to some ongoing health stuff. Did C2 support ever get back to you?the77joker wrote: ↑October 7th, 2021, 3:58 pmsame issue.
