Hi,
I just got the PM5 monitor (was previously using PM3) and I've installed ErgData on my Galaxy S10, it's linked to my C2 logbook - prior to starting my workout I connected the monitor to the app via bluetooth, set up my work out to ensure it's displaying correctly, which it was, I then switched focus on my phone to a spotify podcast and watched that as I rowed. Afterwards, I went to ErgData and it said "Please connect PM5" and had not saved the row at all, is there something I did wrong?
(It did save on the monitor, I just input the data manually into my logbook for this row)

The PM5 doesn't automatically connect to your phone each time you row.
Make sure you have the latest firmware version on your PM5
When working properly, when you open ErgData the screen automatically swipes left and you need to hit the "Connect" to the right PM5. Changes were made as obviously in a Gym environment you could have several PM5's to connect to.

It was the first time using the PM5 and I manually connected it - I did it exactly how I said in first post. Connect PM5 to ErgData via bluetooth -> confirm my workout is on the ErgData -> switch display to spotify -> finish row -> noticed it wasn't connected any longer
Do have latest firmware by the way

I leave my phone on ErgData and get a separate PC to play music and run RowPro.
The phone sits on top of the PM5 in one of the C2 cradles.
Not sure I would try and get the phone to run other tasks at the same time.
Did you setup the Bluetooth connection to start with as per the C2 video ?
Maybe try ErgData without running anything else to see if it works first.

Re: PM5 and ErgData, data didn't save
I have connected ErgData then connected other things like earbuds or heart monitor and lost the ErgData connection. I think it’s closing the Ergdata window that disconnects it. At any rate I connect in this order now and it always works fine:
1. Air buds to iPad, turn on music if I’m not using the music on my workout
2. Heart monitor to PM5
3. ErgData to PM5
If I need to be doing things or adjusting volumes on the iPad where I need to swap apps, then I use my phone for Ergdata and my iPad separately (not connected to the PM5).
I leave the Ergdata up and it works fine. It may approximate going away from the screen to closing the workout. I do that same order on Asensei, and it works there too.
Hope that helps! If you’re logging, you can manually enter the missed workout on the C2 log.
