Cable for ErgData on Kindle to PM5

This $6US cable: " Micro USB OTG to Standard B Type Printer Scanner Hard Disk Cable" from amazon works great. Plugged it in, Ergdata immediately detected it and used it.
I was having trouble with corrupted data on ergdata that propagates to the C2 log. I have been using bluetooth to connect Ergdata on a Kindle to the PM5. It works. But I am also using bluetooth earbuds that use every bit of bluetooth bandwidth they can get to talk to my phone in HQ. And I also use a heart rate monitor that runs ANT+ or Bluetooth so there is a lot going on on the bluetooth frequency.
Hopefully by going to a cable I'll stop getting corrupted workout data. If not I'll update this post.
First gotcha -- if you leave the cable plugged in between the kindle and the PM5 then the kindle battery gets drained pretty quickly even with both devices off. I'll unplug the cable for now after a workout and let the kindle charge.
