Some users of the ErgData app have reported problems closing the ErgData app and reported that the app cannot be closed using the usual swipe methods on an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 where there is no "home button". To close the ErgData app on iPhones with no "home button", hold the iPhone in a landscape orientation, place your finger on the thin white line at the bottom of the ErgData screen and slowly swipe up keeping your finger on the screen, the screen will shrink, then release your touch. All apps open on the phone will display, including ErgData. Place your finger on the ErgData and swipe up all the way to the top to remove the ErgData screen and completely close the ErgData app. This has to be performed while holding the iPhone in a landscape orientation. This has been demonstrated successfully on an iPhone 11 running IOS 14.2.

Apple support and help screens typically show the iPhone in a portrait mode and the instructions don't work for an app that only runs in a landscape mode, such as ErgData.
