A question please if I may!
I tried out the Ergathlon option and although I paired my HR Monitor with the skierg prior to creating the Ergathlon event, by the time I had paired bikerg and rower I had lost the HR data (I use an iPad as a monitor and it was connected to skierg and did display other two ergs throughout those elements).
I tried doing it once more, and got the same result- so I just got rid of the chest strap- after finishing a gentle attempt I wondered if there might be an easy solution.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so, did you find a fix?
I don't currently use a polar app to record hr data preferring the ErgData to logbook route- maybe this is the best way to go
I appreciate any views on this. I think the Ergathlon is a good development and I will definitely repeat the challenge again.
Thanks,
Jim

Re: ErgData, Ergathlon and Polar HR
I just signed up to post the same question, I am experiencing same problem although with a wahoo HR.
I also find if I return to the first machine (skierg) and press repeat to go again, ergdata only records the skierg leg of the second round.

Re: ErgData, Ergathlon and Polar HR
I have discovered that if I pair my HRM to ergdata first on my phone, rather than the PM5, then it records all the heart rate information for the ergathlon.
Re: ErgData, Ergathlon and Polar HR
Can I ask what firmware versions are being used when experiencing these difficultie?
Ergathlon is designed to "hand-off" the HRM connection between machines as the Ergathlon progresses. When transitioning from machine 1 to machine 2 it can take up to 10 seconds before the HRM connection on machine 2 is established and the HR measurement appears.
An Ergathlon that is performed "wirelessly" (e.g., no cables connecting the machines) utilizes ANT+ to communicate between machines while the connection from the first machine to ErgData is made using Bluetooth. Either a Bluetooth or ANT+ HRM can be used. In some cases, if your WiFi router is in close physical proximity to your machines, the ANT+ communication between machines can be negatively impacted, and using wires should improve your experience. As posted on the C2 website, Ergathlon on first generation PM5s (firmware versions from 15.0 - 31.0), wireless Ergathlon is not recommended and wires should be used to connect the machines.
