Asensei has added more free content

Post by mitchel674 » March 27th, 2020, 12:30 pm

I'm on the beta crew for Asensei. Just got an email that the app has added significant amount of free content for those interested. Good time to give it a try while we are cooped up and rowing at home.

I've been considering Asensei however I am currently working through the interactive plan in a bid to reduce my 2k score (1st 2k later today :!: ) and am finding this just the right level of challenge and variety for now so will probably carry on with it.

What's your view of Asensei? I think you've been using it for while? I did all of the Eric Murray stuff on Youtube and really like his sessions.

I like it, but don't use it often at the moment since I am training for a full marathon row. Doing lots of long, slow rows at the moment.

My biggest gripe about Asensei is the inability for me to control the expected pace of my workouts. I would like to be able to dial in my desired starting pace for a workout and have Asensei prod me along from there. Instead, it selects a pace based on my previous workouts which may or may not be what I am interested in doing that day.

I do like the visual of rowing with others. This really helps me keep on track for my targeted SPM.

Thanks and good luck with the marathon!
