Hi, I developed another app for the Garmin Edge devices (because I did not find a comparable).

-> It shows some data received from PM5 (rowing)
-> Combines with given data (e.g. HR from Garmin watch devices or wrists, no need to pair with TM5)
-> shows these data on the top of the screen
-> store data in Garmin Connect after your workout
-> on the bottom there is a chart area, which shows:
- charts e.g. HR, speed, power
- virtual partner

The virtual partner is a sequence of power/time data, target is to follow the virutal partner (arrows on the right side is indicating if you should increase or decrease power). Virtual partner profile can be changed in Edge menu (8 different profiles are possible).

Keep in mind, because of restrictions of Garmin, it is technically not possible to upload some data to Garmin Connect like distance. As a workaround you can find it as a IQ value in Garmin Connect.

It is completely for free, I would be happy if you are leaving some feedback (e.g. what is missing, what should be improved, ...)

Hi, I tried your AK Rowing on the Forerunner 935. Works very well, good job.

I know it's not possible to directly save the distance rowed into the workout, but is it possible to save the number of strokes?

Also, please save more data in extra IQ fields if possible.

Cycling enthusiast, typically ride 100 - 150 miles per week, collect data on a Garmin Edge 1030, upload to Garmin Connect.

I recently purchased a Concept2 model D with PM5, have been using ErgData to indirectly upload rowing data to Connect. The good news is that this process seems to work reasonably well; concern is that while the detailed rowing data appears in the Connect daily activity log, it does not appear to be reflected in the Connect exercise load / training effect. Have not yet attempted to use ErqIQ, which appears to have the same issue.

Will this app better integrate the rowing data with my other activities?

If not, is there any way to do so?

I have a Garmin Instinct and had a si ilar problem with Garmin Connect not including my imported logbook metrics into my activities.

I synced my Polar H10 to my PM5 and to my Garmin Instinct. Once synced, I started an Indoor Rowing Activity on my Garmin and began my session. After rowing, the logbook pushed the data to Garmin Connect and I also ended my Indoor Rowing Activity.

The result is my workouts are correctly tracked in logbook to include HR data, but also my HR data and workout metrics are included as part of the daily HR activity logged by my Garmin device. The only downside is a duplicate entry in my Daily Activity within Garmin Connect, but I've learned to live with it as the extra logbook extries don't skew any other metrics by being present.

Looking for Ideas for new games ... let me know
