How to rank a half marathon time

Post by Bradycardia » October 13th, 2019, 11:46 am

My Concept 2 has no half marathon on "Standard Workouts". Today I rowed 21 098 m and would like to rank my time. How can I do this in order to get a verified time?
Rowing since september 2019
Height: 171 cm
Weight: 62-63 kg

PB:
HM 1:25:29 12/28/19
60min 15,093m 10/24/19
30 min 7,644m 10/17/19

Unfortunately you can't as it needs to be 21,097m exactly but you can upload it as an unverified time
50 HWT; 6' 4"; 1k= 3:09; 2k= 6:36; 5k= 17:19; 6k= 20:47; 10k= 35:46 30mins= 8,488m 60mins= 16,618m HM= 1:16.47; FM= 2:40:41; 50k= 3:16:09; 100k= 7:52:44; 12hrs = 153km

You can set any row yourself, don,t use standard workouts.

Ps you could contact concept2 with proof of the row, think they can help you, you did the row after all. Send them a mail and give it a try.

Oh dear, you're unlucky with your off-by-one error.

How was it logged? By manual entry at https://log.concept2.com? By LogCard & utility? By USB stick & utility? Or by Ergdata?

If manual go back to the monitor memory, find the workout and press the 4th grey button twice. That gives you a 16 character (hex) verification code.

To rank a workout it needs to be one of the standard distances or standard times

500m, 1000m, 2000m, 5000m, 6000m, 10000m, 21097m, 42195m or 100,000m :!:
4 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour

Records can only be set at an authorised competition. 2K records must be done on a grounded static ergo.

I wanted to be on the safe side. A half marathon is 21 097.5 m so I can't enter that extra half meter on PM5. I've logged the session on my ErgData app. I also took a picture of the PM5 screen but couldn't see any verification code. Here'a a photo

So if I enter 21 097m I 'll all good? But that's too short.

Sure, you can enter it as 21097 and rank it, but it'll be unverified.

See that little grey button two up from the [MENU] button. Press that twice when the workout details are shown and be amazed.

Why will it be unverified? If Concept 2 uses 20197m as half maraton then it must be verified. I didn't do anything special for 2000m and 5000m. Just clicked on the "rank" button so I'm guessing that will be the case with 21097m too.

To have it verified, it needs to be either sent to Logbook via Ergdata or C2 Utility OR be verified using verification code.

Hi - you just need to use the new workout - single distance option and set it to 21097m
The method is described here:
https://www.concept2.com/service/monito ... ce-workout

To rank it, you need to enter it in your online logbook. Just sign up on the concept2 website if you havent already.
You can use a USB stick to transfer it along with the Concept2 utility on a laptop, or you can use ErgData on your phone to link to the monitor and then sync direct to your logbook from the app. Or just enter manually.
Once its there in your logbook you can click the rank button next to it. Be sure you have rowed 21097m though else it wont be eligible to rank!
Once entered it will also appear on the 'Challenges' tab and you can download a certificate :)

Good luck!

A long way away from any of these PBs now!!

before you start make sure also that the PM has the correct date set as well as the 21097m so that they both match the verification code

Use Ergdata and it checks the PM5 clock for you.
