C2 Logbook Now Displays Stats.

I think this is fairly new but in the C2 logbook you can now view the stats for each row uploaded. You get a stroke graph displaying Pace, SPM & HR. You get a Split Chart also. I used to view this data in RowPro but I had to sit on my machine to view it on the dedicate PC for it. Now I can view my stats from any pc tablet or phone. I can also view the stats of my training partner. Very cool !

So it does ... indeed cool. This seems to apply from about 27 March onwards, judging from my logbook.

Hey thanks for pointing that out, its great.
Whats also good is if you take all the privacy settings off you can see all the info for peoples PB's.
Unfortunately I think you still need RowPro V5 to get the total number of strokes to show something other than zero. The heart rate is missing (grayed out) on the graph also so that probably is a V5 thing as well.
Great improvement, will have to move to V5 when the full version comes out.

My heart rate is grayed out also and I don't get the average stroke rate but I get everything else.
My training partner can see everything on his and I can see everything "of" his.
He has a PM4 and runs RP V5.
I have a PM5 and run RP V4.
So I guess it's V5 that gets ya all the stuff. Bummer! I really prefer V4.
I'd happily pay the upgrade fee if I could keep V4 & get my HR displayed but I doubt that'll happen.

Would go to RowPro V5 right now, already have a licence number but the problem is that it's still a cut down version of V4.3 and I waited YEARS to get some of the features I requested in V4 that from what I hear are currently NOT in V5.
I think the options menu where you can tick the box and see everyone's rating live on screen is not there in V5.
Besides that all my PC's are still running 32 Bit Windows 10 and V5 HAS to be 64 Bit so a computer rebuild is also needed.
Was planning to shift over on the 1st May to avoid any possible problems during the transition but will probably now stay with V4.3 for a while longer.
Can you confirm the stoke counter and HR work with the PM4 and RP V5 ?
It may be enough to make me start rebuilding a PC now ready for the switch over.

rp5.x shows HR details.
still having to use rp4.x for custom rows as 5.x just sucks canal water..
intervals on rp5.x seems a little dodgy too. sort of loses the interval timer evry now and a gain - just shows nonsense - so you have to try and guess the start of the next interval.

Yes I know but I'm not interested in ErgData....well because all it is is data.
RowPro has everything.....well it would have if they didn't take so long to implement peoples suggestions on how to make it way better.

The graphics on that are horrible, I guess thats the price you pay for needing to run it on iOS and I also hate Apple so forget it.
My setup is a 43 inch Android Full HD screen on the wall with a PC. PC's are great because I can build one from scratch and cost me next to nothing.
RowPro is great, its just they are dragging their heels and not moving fast enough due to spending so much time on the Mac version when they should have skipped this and gone straight to a lite version for Android first then iOS.
They need to dump all the back end stuff like the training and now they can pretty much dump all the data analysis as well now the C2 LogBook has changed. Just direct online and no offline rowing rowing because no one with a smart phone has no internet access these days.
Its the only way to rapidly grow the RowPro community, have everyone highly visible. Numbers attract numbers its a simple as that. You can still row on your own or even schedule a row and make it "Private" if you don't want others to join in. RowPro also needs its own annual meters board, again to promote the number of people using it on a regular basis. Its a marketing no brainer.

Carl: Sorry for the late response. It turns out my friend upgraded to the PM5 & I didn't know it.
So with his setup, PM5 and RP-V5, he gets all three stats on the graph (HR, pace & spm) but the spm is goofy and on the chart the splits times don't make sense.
My setup, PM5 and RP-V4, I get the same except the HR is omitted.
My friend had to upload & re-load his product key with V4 and had trouble. Support told him he could no longer do it and he would have to upgrade to V5. So he did but still couldn't get his key installed. Support then told him he'd have to get a 64bit PC. Nice huh? So he gets a new PC, gets V5 installed only to find that it's missing a lot of what V4 had and the new features don't at all make up for the features he lost. I guess if V5 ever gets completed it'll all be good. I'm keeping V4 for now.
We both tried Liverowing. I got the trial and he got the full paid version. He bought the PM5 to avoid buying the needed $40 cable if you have the PM4. With all the promotion on Liverowing we thought we'd be rowing online. NOT! Tried it a few times but that's over with. We both cuss RowPro often but agree that it's the best rowing program out there. Rowing and scheduling rows online is a great motivator as well as fun. I get to row & chat with folks around the world all doing the same thing. We row with super fast folks who leave us in the dust and with beginners or slow folks that we get to compete with. It's all good and everyone is polite.
So I'll still be cussing RowPro but I'm sticking with them and hope they get V5 up to full speed soon.

Okay yes I just noticed the splits information is all wrong yesterday in the C2 Logbook. I thought it may only be a V4.3 thing but clearly its not. Just flicked an e-mail to David Hart at Concept 2.
Discovered you needed a 64 bit version of Windows when I tried to run the Demo version of V5. Not too much of a hassle for me just need to find the time to put it on the Hp i5. Most PC's have been 64 bit for ages, the problem is I have carried through the legacy 32 bit version of windows on all my PC's over the years.
Yes RowPro has its faults and I am delaying the move to V5 because it had issues and also it dropped features that we waited years to get. The whole package needs to move to an online only platform and the chat box needs to come up automatically. The whole point of the rowing software is the online community and rowing with others or there is just no point in it.

The stats are not quite right.. the Summary data does not calculate as it should (or how I think it should)
Just did a 3 k slow 22 SPM (starting RowPro plan) but closing in on the finish I decided to at least get it below 13 mins so pushed the last few 100 m to knock of the time, stroke rate went up to 31. The summary stats state that my SPM were 31 but for 12 mins or so they were 22-24. If I get the calculator out the average rate is 24.
Ave Watts is the same it displays the final "finish" power

Average rate is also off in ErgData results summaries but stroke count is available so simple division by time in minutes yields average stroke rate to a resolution of at least two decimal places, a useful improvement on the idiotic rounding rule in the PM determination of average rate.

As above you need a stroke counter and do your own math which is very easy if you row to the nearest minute.
Unfortunately the PM monitor rounds down and its up to 1spm out which is hopeless if your rating low or trying to do a 20spm row for example or the 30R20 which is quite common.
RowPro must be getting very close to getting the stroke counter, the splits correct as they are currently wrong and also getting the heart rate graph up as well. All of this gives you a very good insight into the row. Its up to Concept 2 to then enable this to be linked with your rows in the rankings and its job done.

Pretty easy to convert seconds to decimal minutes for even better rez on average SR. Divide loose seconds by 6 (example a "just row" of 30'15"becomes 30.25'. Stroke count/31.25 = average SR accurate to one or two decimals places.

Shouldn't that be 30.25',Jack?
