Ergdata android crashes with new version

Today I got an update of ergdata Android to v2.3.1 (301) from 26.11.2024.

When I connect it to my pm5 it crashes instantly and disappears .
Pm5 is hw 502 and fw 37.

Before the update of the android app everything was working fine .

I also tried deinstall/install of app - no change ...

After reinstall of the previous version from a backup it's working again . So it's definitely the android app version ...
2.2.33 (296) works...

How annoying.

Not sure if it helps or if it just makes things worse, but I have no issues with ErgData 2.3.1 (301) and PM5 firmware 257, hardware 300.

That's the same as mine, early PM5.

Same issue with my son's PM5 (gen 2, i guess, from 2016/12) and the latest ErgData.

Works fine on my PM5 (gen 5 PM5). E-mailed my son a very old ErgData version from 2020 (1.98 or something), and according to him, that works fine. Not gonna link it here as there is already link to much never working ErgData posted in this thread (wish i had noticed that earlier today)

Anyone those who have older PM5 and crashed ErgData have already tried Ergdata 2.3.1(302), which according to Google Play Store was released 2 hours ago?

I also had the same issue with app crashing using v2.3.1 (301) with Hardware v510 and Firmware v37.0. Based on suggestions from others, I downgraded to v2.2.33 (296) which worked. I now just updated to the brand-new upgrade v2.3.1 (302) from Google Play. This seems to be stable so far.

I'm curious to see how others are doing on this brand new version!

I have 2.3.1 (302), but it is still not stable.
Most of the time it does stay in the connecting state (…) , while my PM5 almost immediately says ‘connected’
Spuriously it crashes still and sometimes it connects, but when trying to send a workout to the PM5, again it crashes.
Firmware 37, hardware 502 (RowErg)
ErgZone has no isssues
