Hi I'm just wondering what affects the performance of venue race to collecting results after a race.
I recently ran an event where we logged the results and split files over a network, and perfomace as....slow to say the least! i while i could see the saving over the network was slow, we also seemed to see a phase of about 15-30 seconds where venue race didn't produce any network traffic right after a race.
we ran 14 PM4's with the Nov12 firmware versions (mix of both ver29 and 313..or what the newest if xxx versions are).
Also what order are the files formed? are the results files saved first (out of the splits, stoke and result files).

What do you mean "over a network"? Is that a samba (SMB) share?
Why not write data to the local harddrive then copy it to your networked drive after the race is complete?

Why are you still using Venue Race? Is there something there that the newer ErgRace2 doesn't offer?
