Ergdata 5 stroke length etc?

Post by gvcormac » November 11th, 2024, 1:07 pm

I have recently used Ergdata 4 for the first time, and see that it is able to display a bunch of stuff that I can't find in Ergdata 5.

For example, stroke length and force.

1. Are these simply gone in Ergdata 5?

2. In Ergdata 4 (and Ergdata 5, if they exist), can I capture a log containing these quantities? The upload to log.concept2.com does not contain them.

Thanks all!

Distance per stroke is gone. Peak force and average force are there, use it daily.

And I don't recognize "ErgData 5". My version indicate 2.2.33

You need to configure to see them. Here's the list of things you can display. It includes drive length and force. Tap on any of the blue-shaded fields to see a list of all the data options you can choose from. Select the data you want to see, then tap “Save”. (No, its not obvious. I only learned about it from a post on this forum). (No way to capture these AFAIK using Ergdata).

Thanks for passing this on! There are a number of secrets you need to know. First and foremost, you need to start a workout to change the configuration. Second, the centre three panels do not have as many options, and therefore lack the drive length/force settings. I changed the two calorie panels to stroke length and avg force.
