Created a Dashboard for tracking my rowing, suggestions on how to fill this space?

Post by Planar Knight » November 22nd, 2023, 9:16 pm

This was a personal project (see image link below), happy to share it when done.
Are there any suggestions data wise on what more I should track or cover in the red areas on the right?
Open to suggestions on the overall data displayed as well.

looks pretty - I've got the yearly/monthly breakdown/comparison in my own spreadsheet (libre not excel though).

I can see that you do shorter rows via intervals generally - but you've got a really high average stroke rate there!

This is really awesome! How are you collecting all of this data? And, getting into Excel? I assume you've written a bunch of code. I'm a programmer (mostly python) and would love to do something similar.

Looks great! Can I ask, what would you consider the purpose of this over time? I use Strava and C2 Logbook myself, but find it only mildly satisfying to see my progression which rises and falls with the amount of time I get to spend erging. For example, being in the Northeast, I do more in the winter vs summer, so my times, distances and conditioning go up and down year over year. Just wondering how to get more out these charts once we make them.

Nice work though!
