How to add interval workout to logbook

Post by Xfea » January 26th, 2023, 1:39 pm

Thanks ahead of time - I did a cursory search but.....

Just completed an interval workout -
Ona few occasions - Ergdata announced the it had lost connection.
(The Bluetooth sure seems buggy...)

When I finished - Ergdata never synched - never uploaded data to my logbook.
It appears you can only add time & distance as logbook workout

Anyway of adding the complete interval data?

Can you connect with a PC and cable to the PM3/PM5? Then you can still upload.

PM5 does not log the complete information. If Ergdata did not catch it while you were rowing it is lost. No graphs, etc. in your log because they need the per-stroke information Ergdata captures.

You can get the info that the PM5 did keep (the same information that is displayed in the PM5 history) using the approach described by JaapvanE == Concept2 Utility, a laptop (mac or windows) and a printer cable. https://www.concept2.com/service/softwa ... t2-utility

If the firmware on your PM5 is old you are missing a bunch of bluetooth fixes and you will need the printer cable and C2 Utility to update the firmware. If the PM5 is current then it's probably easier to just type them in vs connecting and uploading.

Just for information - if ergdata loses connection during workout, you can reconnect during workout and ergdata will go on with logging.

Well - it did lose connection more than once - picked up were it left off - but no sync.

I just re did my WO

And - I discovered that when you 'move' a workout from the PM5 to USB - it's a 'cut and paste' operation.
Now that data is GONE from the PM5....
(at least I have a photo!!)

I only had a disconnect once and the reconnect worked well.
If you have this problem more often, it could possibly be that you have some interference. Other Bluetooth device working at the same time - headphones? 2,4GHz WLAN can also interfere.

And "move" means move and not copy, so this is self-explanatory 😊
