PM5 Asensei and Ergdata
PM5 Asensei and Ergdata
PM5 will be here in a few days.
Can you not have Asensei and erg data going at the same time? Do I even need erg data if using Asensei?
So if I connect -
Ears
heart rate
Asensei
It should work?
Asensei settings for music are Apple music so i would assume that it wouldn't interfere, but does it if I go to apple music to skip, change volume etc?

Re: PM5 and ErgData, data didn't save
Usually good to start a new thread so other people searching can find your thread when they have the same question (but better to post somewhere than nowhere ). Most likely original problem was "... I then switched focus on my phone to a spotify podcast and watched that as I rowed." ErgData cannot run in the background. (I've never tried it, but multiple threads on this on the forum).
If you run Asenei you cannot run ErgData at the same time.
"..Unfortunately it is not possible to have two apps connected to the PM5 at once and obtain reliable data from them both. Beware, as sometimes it may seem as if they are both working but the data is not consistent or reliable! For asensei to work correctly please ensure that Ergdata or any other app is not running at the same time and connecting to your PM5.
If you use Ergdata to sync to the Concept 2 Logbook, asensei can do this for you instead...."

Re: PM5 and ErgData, data didn't save
Split off to a new thread as there's no sense in bumping ancient unrelated threads.
Re: PM5 Asensei and Ergdata
A bit late to this thread, but better late than never!
The previous poster gave a great answer to explain that you can't use asensei and ErgData at the same time. But you shouldn't have to, asensei will push all your data to the Concept 2 logbook for you as described here: https://asensei.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/ar ... 2-Logbook-

Yes, you can connect a heart rate monitor to the PM5 or to your phone directly and asensei will pick it up either way and display it during your workout. For more info see: https://asensei.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/ar ... o-asensei-

If you use Apple Music with asensei (or any other external app) you'll still be able to control playback of the music without leaving the app by swiping down from the top right of the screen and using the Control Center controls to do things like skip, pause, play etc. For more info see here: https://asensei.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/ar ... n-asensei-
Hope this helps and that the PM5 arrived on time!

Re: PM5 Asensei and Ergdata
Not sure if I should start a new thread, please let me know if I should.
How about connecting Asensei via Bluetooth and Garmin Watch via ANT+ (native integration no IQ app or data fields)? it works for me but will it make the data not consistent or reliable?

If I understand the question correctly you want to get heart rate data from your Garmin Watch which is connected to the PM5 via ANT+? That should not be a problem, it will just look like a HR monitor to the PM5 as far a I know and the PM5 shares the Heart Rate data with asensei via Bluetooth and it should be in sync (as far as I know).
