Another PM5 sync issue

Post by latexyankee » June 9th, 2021, 9:39 pm

Cant sync to any application other than the logbook from ergdata app.

Did anyone have this issue and fix it themselves? Must it be a paid strava account? Garmin connect will not sync anything as well. It has never worked since day 1 about a week ago. I have sent an email to support but i don't expect anything useful from them in this regard.

This is a dealbreaker and I only have about a week left to return so im trying a few last times and then shes going back.

Any ideas would be helpful thanks

I saw someone mention on another thread that they had to revoke the Strava / Garmin Connect access in the logbook profile settings and reconnect a couple of times before it worked.

I'm not sure what would cause this odd behaviour, but maybe try that if you haven't already.

Also, can you see anything under Partner Integrations from the Strava side? I have Concept2 showing as Enabled, but if you're seeing nothing or the setting as Disabled, then it might be that the initial set up never completed for some reason.

I have a paid account, but I don't think it would affect the synchronisation.

I am having the same problem.

Disconnecting and connecting does not solve the problem.

When I look in Garmin Connect/Account Information and Strava/Partner Integration I can see that the connection is accepted but still no transfer of data takes place.

It would be nice if someone could find a solution to this problem.

Have a nice one

When I first connected LogBook to Garmin, it wouldn't push workouts either. So I tried to have it sync to Trainingpeaks and from there to Garmin. Didn't work either. So I disconnected everything, connected Garmin again and then it started working.

I didn't do anything different, but it just suddenly started working :P

I haven't had the same luck.

I got it to connect to Strava but then it only uploaded that days training. Not the ones I have been waiting for it to be synced for the previous 3 days. If it will continue to sync or it goes back to not working will remain a question.

It still doesn't work for Garmin Connect or Training Peaks. I have tried multiple times to disconnect/connect and the result is the same. No transfer.

Considering that these sites are pretty important to collect data from multiple sports it would be nice to have some response from Concept 2 on this problem.

Have a nice weekend

It won't sync workouts retrospectively. It only pushes workouts that are synced after the connect. I would suggest doing a short workout and syncing via ErgData after connecting to Garmin or Trainingpeaks to see if it worked.

I sync my logbook to both Strava and Garmin.

I use ergdata and then when I sync it sends to logbook (and then logbook sends to Strava and Garmin connect). I don't believe that Ergdata itself sends to Strava or Garmin - you need to sync it to your logbook first. I have also entered workouts manually on Logbook and they were sent to Strava too.

My husband and I were both experiencing some random issues a couple of weeks ago (with the logbook not going to Strava and Garmin - or only part of the data going to Strava) - but that seems to have resolved itself now.

And, you are correct, there does not seem to be a way to get older workouts (that did not go to Strava correctly the first time) to send over.

You can send individual past workouts, but it's not very friendly.

Goto your C2 Log.
Find the workout you want
Open the workout details where you see the graph
Find the "Download Stroke Data" section
Click download TCX

Then send the TCX file(s) to Strava using this procedure: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/art ... -to-Strava

I use Garmin Connect but yesterday I have installed Strava on my phone and did the setup on the C2 Logbook site and was working flawlessly.

I used the premium Strava (free 90 days trial) not the free version.

So far all apps and software worked with my C2 with no issue at all.
I use Garmin Connect just to sync to apps that are not on the C2 logbook site.

Thanks for the info - I will have to give it a try the next time something goes glitchy!
