Apple Watch heart rate support

Post by in2win8 » April 1st, 2020, 9:39 pm

For my Peloton I use an app called BlueHeart on the iphone and apple watch. What it does is broadcasts the bluetooth, once you watch a 30-second advertisement, it will start to show up. On the garmin 235 it just has the broadcast built in, but the apple watch doesn't have internal software to allow the broadcast. The blueheart solves that problem. I just ordered the concept2, and I was looking this up, ran into this forum. Figured I'd let you guys know, hope it helps!

Thanks for the Blue Heart tip! This indeed does the trick. This app will broadcast the heart rate of your Apple Watch via the Bluetooth of your phone. In this way it can be connected to a PM5 as a bluetooth heart rate monitor, and it will show up in the display of your PM5. I noticed a small lag (few seconds) between the actual measurement and what is displayed on the PM monitor, but for me that is not really a problem.

Apple Watch heart rate support

I am using www.rowingcoach.com together with apple watch. there is a way that you turn on the wristwatch and can reproduce the pulse screen on the cell phone. But you can get these numbers to appear in the Ergdata.

So you're saying BlueHeart will show your HR on the PM5 screen without having to use ErgData or a similar program?
