Hello,
I found this wonderful community and I would like to ask you a question.
My father owns a PM5 rower and he loves figures and big data
He has been improving for years, thanks to a huge involvement and training. But he is now struggling to have a look at his force curve in real time or not, by connecting a computer to his PM5. The force curve displayed on the rower monitor is a good start, but he would like to have access to the values. He has been looking for these data for a while and I would like to help him. I found this software thanks to this forum, that might reach his expectations : http://www.ps-sport.net/ergmonitor.htm. I am looking for something as straight forward as possible. Maybe there is something better than ErgMonitor software.
I will appreciate any help in helping him ! Thanks for reading
Have a nice evening

Re: Export force curve PM5
ErgMonitor can be coaxed into working on a PM5, but as far as I know Paul Smith stopped supporting it at least a decade ago. The last best version he had was designed to run on Windows XP.
A simple, lo-tech solution is to use a cheap webcam to video the force-curve display in real time, then examine it later. If you play around with the angles, it's possible to compare what the rower is doing biomechanically to what's appearing on the screen....
