Recording exercise on Computer, Strava etc

Post by gordonc66 » August 27th, 2017, 2:56 pm

Newbie.

Just bought a Model D, with PM5. Logged a workout using a memory stick and Garmin HR strap in Concept2 Logbook, but it only gives total summary and stat at every 5 mins

If I want better metrics, every second for instance, is this possible and if so how?

Happy to use Smartphone or Laptop if required and ultimately would like to import the data into Strava.

I've tried Rowsandall, and I get the following error "This workout does not have any stroke data associated with it"

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Get Ergdata for your Android or iPhone.

Hi, I am the developer of rowsandall.com. Congratulations on your new rower.

You are getting the error probably because you are trying to upload workout summary data from the logcard to the site. While rowsandall.com is here to make data analysis and visualisation easy, as well as sharing to Strava and other general fitness portals, the actual stroke per stroke data collection has to be done with the help of a smartphone and a computer, and a third party app.

ErgData is free and the easiest to start with, but there is also Painsled for iOS or BoatCoach (from the same developer as ErgData) for Android. With the PM5, it is really easy to set up, and with all those apps, you get the stroke per stroke data on the Concept2 logbook as well.

Here is a link to a how-to article for indoor rowing: http://analytics.rowsandall.com/2017/01 ... e-numbers/

Hope this helps.

Thanks both for taking the time to reply. I now have data for the full session, and will spend a bit of time understanding what I can do with it.
