What are people's setups for RowPro?

Are you hooking up your PM to a laptop and watching on laptop screen?

I'm thinking about buying a used tv on the cheap and connecting that to RowPro. Anyone that has this setup what do I need to make this happen? Anything specific the tv should

No laptop here got an old HP PC that is dedicated to RowPro only with a SSD so it boots really fast which is handy if your running late and trying to checkin for an online row.

Had an old 42" plasma on the wall but it finally died so was faced with a decision of what to replace it with. Have been caught out in the past trying to get the latest and greatest and trying to predict which direction the technology is going but decided to get a Sony Android TV. I notice this is already now running an old Android version 5.1.1 or "Lollipop" and its moved onto version 6 but hopefully if Digital Rowing comes out with RowPro as an Android App I can run it direct on the TV. Also when the PM5 is finally sorted out it should be able to connect to the TV via Bluetooth and at that point the PC becomes redundant and so I can save some power and floor space.

The ideal setup is just the rower that I can move anywhere, even wheel it out onto the deck on a nice day and look through the ranchslider door windows or just open the doors and run a totally wireless setup from about 8 to 10 meters away. Sit on the rower and use the TV remote to click "Ready" and wait for the start of the row.

i had a laptop.
worked ok, but it was an old one, and it was a little underpowered on the graphics side.

I replaced it for a cheapish dedicated desktop

i chose this one because it had HDMI output as well as DVI. decent pc / low power outage for the price.
running win10 and plex parallel -sually running some movies in HD - rowpro is on standard display settings i think

I connect the DVI to a monitor for rowpro and the HDMI is then sent to a tv for movies / music/tv - distractions..

Hi,

I'm using a tablet: Iconia W700 with a i3. It's working fine.

Forgot about the music, just line up your favourite MP3's and have that going as well because there is essentially no audio in RowPro except at the start and you can still hear that over the music.
