Pace Boats In Custom Interval Program

Post by DanoRoo » March 21st, 2015, 9:37 am

Hi all,
I bought my Model D, PM5 on March 1st and purchased Rowpro after an evaluation period. I'm loving it. My question is about how to create Pace Boats in custom training regimens. I created a pyramid interval session where I row for 1 minute then rest 1 minute, row for 2 minutes rest 1, etc. Before I start rowing I create a Pace Boat for each lane which works perfectly on the initial 1 minute row. But, after the initial rest period when Rowpro cycles around for the 2 minute row, the Pace Boats do not appear. The rest of the session is rowed without them. How can I make Pace Boats appear at the beginning of each new interval?
Thanks,
Dano

I'd like to know the answer to this question, too, so I want to follow this discussion. I've had the same problem with my RowPro. Maybe you can't use pace boats with intervals - which would stink.

The only way round this that I have found is to set a pace for the rest interval. A paddling pace, in my case 2:30/500m. So if the rest interval is, say, 2 minutes, I make it 400 metres.

Not ideal and a bit of a faff but it works. But if anyone knows better I'd love to hear it.

RowPro is great but it is a bit clunky in places. I understand that the company making it is very small so I guess we need to cut them some slack.
