Interesting site. If you download the pdf for the owner's manual, you will find the most detailed description of a rowing stroke that I have ever seen. Most of it was in solid agreement with others, but just much more detailed. Actually, I thought that it was an interesting approach, i.e. to go though all the motions repeatedly without touching the handle. I felt that there were two major flaws in it. One was that it implied that the final leg straightening was done at the end of the stroke rather than before the elbows are bent. The other was that the recovery time to drive time ratio should be a constant 2:1 at all stroke rates. Rather glaring faults in my opinion, but in spite of them, I felt that, in general, it was a good introduction to the anatomy of a rowing stroke.

Their monitor seems to be a real copy cat of the C2 monitor, but I doubt that it could be based on the same physics — the deceleration of the flywheel in the case of the C2. The fluid rower doesn't have a heavy flywheel with a lot of momentum. It will be interesting to see if there is any patent infringement suit.
